Zayd ibn al-Khattab was a Sahabi (companion) of Muhammad and the elder brother of the second Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab, also known as Amir al-Mu'minin ("Commander of the Faithful"). In the beginning of battle against Musaylimah, many of the Muslims fell as martyrs. Zaid ibn al-Khattab saw the feelings of horror in the hearts of some Muslims, so he climbed a hill and cried out to the forces: "O people! Grit your teeth, fight your enemy and go straight By Allah, I'll never speak till Allah beats them or I meet Him and then I give my evidence." He then charged against the enemy and continued fighting until he was martyred for the sake of Allah. His grave was purportedly located just north of modern-day Riyadh until the 18th century when it was levelled to the ground by Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, who claimed that it had become an object of idolatry. ==See also== *Family tree of Umar *Sahaba 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Zayd ibn al-Khattab」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
